Cults3D: you download the model and we print it
Cults3D is an online platform where designers sell and share ready-made models for 3D printing, some free and some for a fee. You download the model as a file and get it printed.

What you will find on Cults3D
Cults3D is a gallery of models run by a French company. A large part of the content is paid models from individual designers, from figurines and jewellery to organisers and spare parts, alongside which there are also many free files. So it is a somewhat different world from community sites such as Printables or Thingiverse, where most things are free.
You most often download the model as STL, sometimes as 3MF. We accept both formats, so after buying you just upload the file to the calculator.
The licence matters more than the price
Having bought a model does not mean you may resell it or use it for a job for a company. The terms are set by the author for each model separately. It is common that a purchase gives you the right to personal use, and commercial use needs another licence or the author's consent. With free models, Creative Commons licences are often used, for example BY-NC, which forbids commercial use.
We do not check the licences of downloaded models, the responsibility is yours. If you are buying a model for corporate gifts or for sale, read the terms before ordering or write to the author.
How to get a Cults3D model printed with us
You upload the downloaded file to the calculator and choose the material (PLA or PETG) and the infill strength. The model is genuinely prepared for printing on our server, so you see the price per piece and the lead time right away. The file can be up to 50 MB and a single part has to fit within 246 × 246 × 256 mm.
Many authors on Cults3D prepare models for home printers with different dimensions, so check the size before buying. If the model is bigger, you either scale it down, or it can be split into several parts and glued.
What to watch for
- Material in the description. Some models are designed for a flexible material or for resin. We print only PLA and PETG, so we cannot prepare flexible parts (TPU) or resin ones (resin).
- Tolerances. Moving assemblies and joints are tuned to a particular printer. With our settings they may fit differently, more in the entry on tolerances.
- Preview images. Photos on Cults3D are often painted or sanded. Our print comes out in the colour of the material, without any surface finishing.
Common questions
Is a Cults3D model free to print?
It depends on the model. Some are free, others paid. Even after you pay, the author's licence applies, which usually allows only personal use.
Can I sell printed Cults3D models?
Only if the licence of the particular model allows it. If not, you need a commercial licence or the author's consent. We do not check licences.
What kind of print do you do for a Cults3D model?
FDM in PLA or PETG, with a 0.2 mm layer. Our process does not suit models with transparent, flexible or very fine parts.
