MakerWorld: downloaded models and ordering them printed
MakerWorld is a website with a database of 3D models, run by Bambu Lab. Many models come with a ready-made 3MF project with colours and settings for Bambu printers.

What is on MakerWorld
The platform was launched by Bambu Lab. Authors share models here, and for many they add ready-made profiles, often with several colours. You download a 3MF that you open in Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer.
Licences and commercial use
The author sets the licence for each model. The usual rule applies: a model with a BY-NC licence must not be used commercially. The description also says whether you may modify the model. The basics of Creative Commons licences are on the project page. We do not check licences, the responsibility lies with the customer.
The platform has its own terms for its content. Read them for models you want to sell as well.
How to order a 3MF from MakerWorld
Upload the file to the calculator. If it has colours assigned they are kept, and we print the model on printers with an automatic filament changer, up to 4 colours. Remember that a colour change adds a purge tower and time, so a multicolour piece costs more. You see the price straight away.
We do not take over settings and profiles made for Bambu printers, because we print on different printers and prepare the model on our server our own way.
What to watch for
Many models on MakerWorld are designed for several colours. Every colour change adds time and material for the purge tower, which shows up in the price in the calculator. If you want to bring the price down, try the model in fewer colours or as a single colour. More on this is in the entry on the purge tower.
Models for Bambu often have many colours, so check how many colours you need. If there are more than four, we cannot print the model as it is. The maximum size of a single part is 246 × 246 × 256 mm.
Common questions
