Why 3D printing for promotional items

Classic promotional items are printed or engraved on finished products, where the minimum is often hundreds of pieces. With 3D printing the logo can be the shape of the item itself, even at ten pieces, because you do not pay for a mould. Suitable examples are keychains, magnets, business card stands, coasters or pen holders.

How to prepare the logo

The best thing is a vector logo that can be extruded to a thickness, for example as an SVG. From it you can make a 3D model in programs such as Tinkercad or Blender. Send us the finished model, we cannot create it.

For a colour variant send a 3MF with the colours assigned. The more colours, the more time and waste, which is why multicolour printing costs more. For a logo a two-colour combination may be enough.

If you are not sure how the logo should look in 3D, print one piece first. A finished object tells you more than a screen, because you see the real line thickness and size.

What comes out on a surface and in thin details

• Lettering thickness. Lines of at least 1 mm, otherwise they get lost. Our nozzle is 0.4 mm, so finer details are not reliable.
• Surface. Layers are visible, at a height of 0.2 mm. We do not polish or paint.
• Material. PLA or PETG in the available colours.

Choose the material colour with your company colours in mind. Two contrasting shades read better on a small item than colours close to each other, especially if the logo is thin.

Run, lead time, invoice

You upload the model, choose a quantity from 1 to 5,000 and you see the price per piece and the lead time straight away. We photograph every batch before dispatch. You pay by proforma invoice with a QR code, production starts after payment, and companies from another EU country with a valid VAT number receive an invoice without VAT.
